The people in question — a dad, his two youngsters, and a family member living with them — were said to have died on Friday, September 30 and Sunday, October 2.
It was revealed that the family arranged the 'Amala' dinner from the left-over cassava flour from which they had recently made and eaten 'Fufu'. They were said to have sun-dried for certain days.
Notwithstanding, subsequent to eating dinner on Thursday last week, they ended up falling ill.
The youngest member of the family died on Friday, immediately followed on Saturday by the family member living with them.
The others were quickly moved to the ECWA Emergency Clinic, Egbe, for better clinical consideration. Tragically, the oldest of the little girls, Motun, surrendered and died at around 3:00 am Sunday. The dad likewise kicked the bucket later that Sunday.
The man's better half, recognised as Molomo, is as yet alive at the hospital under close supervision.
During a condolence visit to the royal residence of the Elulu of Mopa, a representative of the governor, Kingsley Fanwo, the state Commissioner for Information, promised to get to the bottom of the issue and guaranteed necessary measures would be put in place and findings would be made public.
In the meantime, friends and family have taken to social media to grieve for one of the people in question, Motilewa Tunrayo Peace.
