The police in Ondo have charged Ogunseyi Akinfolarin, the ex-Queen Naomi Silekunola's brother, with forgery and criminal change of ₦26 million under the watchful eye of the Akure High Court.
Akinfolarin was accused of forging a receipt for the Atibiti Faaye family for purchasing 32 plots of land. He was summoned on three-count charges of forgery and criminal conversion of cash.
The offences were committed in September 2019.
Prosecuting counsel DSP Osoobu Itunu advised the court that the group is prepared to open the case, adding that all witnesses are prepared to affirm.
For the preliminary hearing, Judge Yemi Fasanmi concluded the case be heard on January 9, 2023.
