Adewale Alebiosu, a well-known Babalawo (Ifa Priest) character in Yoruba films, has warned actors against playing such roles. He shared that it affected him seriously as he chanted some incantations.
Alebiosu stated that he was going about his business as an entertainer and had no idea that the mantras he was presenting would come to torment him in reality.
The actor said many entertainers are unaware that chants have hidden powers beneath them.
Alebiosu also discussed how the job makes viewers believe he is into spiritism and voodoo outside of acting.
